Set up in a dry slough bed with thick undergrowth on either side. It's a narrow opening that makes a nice funnel. This a little neck of woods that's bordered on both sides by 5 year old pine trees. Feels like a good morning to be in a tree. Stay safe and good luck.

4 does and another deer that didn't have viable horns but was nose to the ground, tail out and pushed the does out of there. Ran to get a snack, drove back up to my spot and 2 does are standing in the side of the road.

Moved up 75yards from this morning where the slough bed takes a 90 into the thick stuff. It's only about 10 yards wide so they should funnel right through here. While getting ready a bobcat slipped across the road where those 2 deer crossed. Probably should've just sat on the tailgate and hunted the two-lane hunting club this afternoon. Of year makes for a lonely world.
Ended up seeing 6 deer around 2:30. Heard something in the thick stuff I couldn't see, that spooked the deer. About 10 minutes later a bunch of turkeys popped out 100 yards from me, so I'm guessing the turkeys are what spoiled the deer.
