I have an 9 year old that want a bow. When it shoot he wants too. I bought a cheap bow from academy. Is not the bow I think he needs.
Is there a bow that he can grow up with. I went by the pro shop and they had one for 670 rigged. I ain’t spending that much. Ain’t happening for a 9 year old. Is there another cheaper option.

I have a buddy going to let me try his pse youth bow for free. His boys have killed deer with it and they just out grew it.
If that don’t work. I have another buddy going to sell me a missions for cheap.

The mission craze was an older model(not that old tho)…you cojld maybe find an older one of those an itd be perfect

I bought my son a Diamond Edge many years ago. If I’m not mistaken it ranges from 25lbs to 60lbs and has a complete set of modules for draw length. I’ve been looking to pass it on to a young kid but it’s a left handed bow and none of my buddies kids are lefties. Not sure if they are still available but it was a nice shooting set up.

My daughter is left handed and twelve. But. She has taken a liken to the recurve and she is shooting mine. But I am looking for a smaller one for her to shoot and not learn bad habits.

Shaw I got the mission hammer I stead from my buddy. My son is going to wear it out it looks like shooting it.
He is only pulling back 25 lbs and draw is 22 inches.
When he draws back the top cam and string are not lined up. The string comes off to the left of the cam. Is this correct. I don’t know because this bow you can adjust the world on it and don’t know if it’s the same as others.

Best advice I can give you is take him and the bow in to your local shop and have them check it out. The buss cable yokes could need adjusting or he’s torquing the bow at full draw. Hard for me to diagnose without seeing it in person, even with pics.

Understand completely. Buddy actually just saw him who is fairly knowledgble. He said he’s torquing the light weight draw but said to take it in anyways.
