I imagine deer season may have taken some pressure off of them, plus the cooler weather.
Georgia Football..Acts like Bama but has a trophy case like South Carolina.

That’s awesome. I’ve never been to the Sipsey before. I dont think it would be worth a drive from mobile. If you were dead set on catching a trout, bull shoals lake in Arkansas would be the go to trip. Better quality fish for sure and a much better quality experience. Sipsey river beliw the dam is a giant ditch, thats about it. Its cool there in the morning because the water is cold. The fish are easy to catch. But it is not a real nice place to fish. Just a slick rocky ditch. Now the Sipsey above the lake is beautiful.

Yeah if I was making a trip from South AL to catch trout, I’d just go to North GA

Specks aren’t that great to eat in my opinion. I mean I ain’t turning them down at a fish fry, I’ll eat pretty much any kind of fish. I would rather eat white trout though. And Blackfish are sooo much better than both. I’ve never had rainbow trout before. I agree! Yet on the Mississippi coast they are one of the most expensive items on a restaurant menu. Good marketing!
