Supposed to go out Friday and maybe Saturday gonna try to deep drop for some grouper and maybe hit a snapper and trigger spot, I’ve never done the deep dropping looking forward to it, forecast calls for calm seas hopefully it is

Good luck, you’ll enjoy the deep dropping. Planning to go Saturday myself and hopefully have something to weigh in at the rodeo.

You too. Deep dropping fun. You never know what you gonna get.
But I love seeing them tiles float up.

They was hungry today. Got a limit of 18-20 inch snappers in the first drops. Wasn’t no throwing back today. Oil pump went out on my ol 2sfroje hpdi. Low level alarm went off 16 miles out. So after figuring that what it was I topped it off with my extra jug and fished the closest spot to me.
Semi private and they were eating.
Caught them and headed in and stopped at the rigs. Caught a ton of Spanish. Or let my son. Turned all back. Then headed in. Which we could have went deeper but. Oh well. Quick fun trip.
Did I say it was slick.

We ran out about 60 miles or so and tried to deep drop, it was a little slow I think we ended up with 5 snowies and a bunch of white snapper, moved around and caught a good mess of beeliners and a few other things

I love beeliners. When we go out snapper fishing I always try to get the guys to get beeliner too. But noooo everyone wants to catch a 20lb snapper.

Blackfin tuna are all over the beach right now. Navarre pier has caught 60 the past three mornings. The kayaks are killing them.

Some of my buddies said they caught all they wanted this morning.

Me and the wife went out of OB friday afternoon. Seas were slick. Water was blue and clear. Fishing in 95ft of water. Could drop down about 30ft and watch them eat your bait. Quick, easy limit of snapper.

We went out at Venice last week. Hooked up on several big Yellowfins and could not get any of them in the boat. Sharks got every one of them. I'm still losing sleep over that trip. frown Hooking up was easy. Never gets old seeing 150 lb tuna blowing live bait out of the water!
