I don't have to tell anyone here that we haven't had any rain. This severely limits the canoeing options. Momma wanted to go again and she picked Centerville. It's far enough down the Cahaba to where the lack of rain doesn't have as much impact and the stretch is an easy paddle with very few obstructions until the very end at Centerville. With the low water and the fleeting daylight, we got there earlier. We shuttled around and were on the water at 845AM. With the better weather, pups get to go again. She LOVES going and jumps in and out of the truck and canoe. NOTE: Pratts Ferry is the put in. Technically, you are supposed to request access via email and they send you the code to the lock on the gate. I've never seen it locked until this AM. My fault. Loaded the canoe up on the wheels and hauled it down to the water. It sucked, but we got it done. There's only one legit beach that is surrounded by the river. I didn't want to get off on the side of the river during hunting season. We stopped here at 11AM and ate. Fishing was a little slower than it was last time. I actually kept track of fish catches this time. I caught 19 total. The wife caught 17 total. Like last trip, I caught the big ones. 3.25lbs 2.75lbs

Momma loves Davenport's Pizza. Took her there afterwards for her consolation Jim's Special. It'd be great if Centerville or Brent had a pizza/burger/beer place. We were loaded up and off the water by 545PM.
