How do you get that thing unhooked? I use a circle hook so that it is not swallowed by the sailfish. When I get him to the pier I reel down and point my rod at the fish and then quickly pull up on the rod while holding my spool. The line will generally pop at the hook and the fish swims off just fine. It is much easier in the bigger sailfish. Some of the guys keep them but they are not really good table fare and you can get a replica if you want one mounted. I’ve caught five off our piers and have released every one of them.
