Did a little homework and it appears this is wild / green foxtail. I have a good bit of it growing myself. Not planted, just wild.

This is the sesame I was talking about. This one is about 7 or 8 feet high. All of those pods have a bunch of seeds in them. Looks like at least another couple of weeks before they are ready.

The grain sorghum is just about ready and the millet and foxtail is ready.

Yes. Everything has produced but the sunflowers. Birds ate the seed before it germinated.

Best hunt I've ever been on was on a burned German foxtail millet field. All the chaff was gone from the fire and those big seed heads were laying on bare dirt half toasted. A genuine barrell melter.

I’ve always been partial to German foxtail and proso (aka dove) millets.

I think chiwapa is in the foxtail millet family and produces a huge seed head. Planted it in my duck hole a few years.

Spread 150 pounds of feed wheat on dragged dirt and bush hogged 1/2 of the planted WMS dove magnet. If they don't come it won't be for lack of food.
