Here’s a pro tip for Joseph. If you’re harvesting sharks for the table, clean it within minutes of it being caught.
Sharks do not urinate. Instead, they excrete nitrogenous wastes as urea, which is stored in their in blood, and the nitrogenous wastes are expelled/excreted trough their skin. The quicker you get the meat processed, the better it’ll taste. On those BTs, we will bat them as the come into the boat, run a gaff through his mouth to control the head and fillet him right on the back of the boat and dump the carcass as soon as we finish. 5 min or so and that meat is on ice. I’m sure you already know, but cut every bit of those blood lines out before freezing or cooking.

Blacktip is the only shark I will eat. I like to soak it in buttermilk first. Mako is okay but they are now protected. Yep! We used to catch Blacktips in Escambia Bay, around certain buoys. Definitely kill em as soon as we had em in the boat. Like Abolt said, they will excrete through their skin and mess up some good meat.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Jack's are a lot of fun. Me and the kids got into them trolling back from a trip several years ago. All over 20# This is the only fish species that go from 1/2 an ounce to over 20# overnight In all seriousness, I have only caught 2 or 3 in my life that were small fish.
