Help me out if you can. Thinking about planting some peas for second crop. Never planted twice because I figured late peas would be too hard to fight bugs. I usually plant early than most. If I do plant was gonna plant August. Have you or anyone had luck doing this. What do I need to spray for bugs and how often? Any help you or anyone can give would be greatly appreciated

I plant peas throughout the spring, summer and fall. My last planting is also in August. My go to spray is a mixture of permitherin and bifen. It works great as long as it don’t rain on it. You have to spray again after each rain. There are other pesticides that will work much better but are much more expensive and probably not real good for you. ALWAYS, ALWAYS wash peas really good after picking. I’ve never used Spinosad or however you spell it but I’ve heard lots of good things about it. You may look into that also. Not sure how much help this is but it’s what works for me.

I thought permitherin was gonna be it but wasn't sure. I used spinosad on my corn this year for ear worms and it worked good even though I got it on there late. It's kinda expensive though. Thanks for help
