I’m considering adding a couple of feeders to two new fields of ours. We have hogs on each that come and go. The spots are a little far to put corn out on the ground from camp as we tried that last year where they would find the corn after the weekend. I’m wanting a spin feeder for just a couple of seconds to keep them around with nice greenfields on each. What do yall use? What are some suggestions? Thanks

All Seasons or Lamco, stand & fill.

Both quality products.

If you have hogs, then drive T-posts and use U-bolts around legs and posts to keep the hogs from pushing them around.

If you have bears, do the same as for hogs, then add chains over the lid and fastened to the legs. If a bear can't turn it over, they will try to pull the lid off.

We build them out of steel drums. Get the drums locally and everything else you need to build them from West Texas Feeder Supply for around $200.

We typically feed twice a day at 4 seconds each. If there are hogs around drive T-posts like Uncle Huck says.

I put out my first All Seasons in 2018. I replaced the first battery this spring, and it was probably my fault for letting the battery sit for about a month without the solar charger hooked up. The motor died, and the corn molded, so I had to leave it open for a while.

Very first thing I ever did repair/replacement wise, other than the Eliminator spin plate, which is a requirement or skwerls will empty it quick.

We have some ALL SEASONS gravity feeders we bought in 1990's.... still in operation and have required almost no maintenance.

I was a little low on the $200, haven't bought any parts from them in a while. The control unit with solar panel, battery, steel lid and bolt on leg kit will run around $300. We built 6 of these for a lease in Texas 10 years ago and they still work great. I had to replace a couple of timers at one point because the batteries corroded. I just pull them out now.
