Shaneomac2 OP 14 point Joined: Sep 2016 Posts: 8,946 Alabama	Ive read where giving dogs olive or coconut oil helps reduce shedding in dogs. Anyone vouch for this or know any other remedies? Georgia Football..Acts like Bama but has a trophy case like South Carolina.

abolt300 Booner A Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 11,799	Dont know about other dogs but I can tell you this. It dont matter what you give a lab. They will shed copious amounts of hair, year round, even in the winter.

Pwyse 14 point P Joined: Jan 2017 Posts: 6,741 Mobile, AL	I have never heard of anything stopping it. I have a lab and a Bernese Mountain Dog. Someone must vacuum everyday and we bath them twice a week. If your dogs stay inside it can make it worse.

whack-n-stack Booner W Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 10,667 Alabama	It don't matter what you feed them. The only thing I've found that somewhat helps with my lab is letting her swim often (twice a week or so). I guess the water is like a brush or something.
