True but I know where my corn came from and how it was grown and handled. I picked 11 crawfish sacks with 45-50 ears per sack so far out of my first planting. I probably got $75 invested in it. Fixing to start picking the 2nd planting and it’s a bigger patch. Gonna be time to ride the neighborhood and give all that away.

I about burnt mine up with nitrogen this week. Went way to heavy with it I guess. Most of it will make it, but some is toast. Oh well, I'm learning.

You must have put it pretty heavy. My old mentor always told me it’s very hard to kill corn with fertilizer unless you get a bit of it in the “whirl”. He also told that if the leave aren’t kinda burnt on the ends and your corn ain’t blue, add more fertilizer. I try to fertilize multiple times verses 1 big application. Seems to work most times.

Yeah, I got some in the plants instead of beside them. That'll do it every time.

Plant early and as soon as you see silks on the plants, spray with spinesad often and soak silks every spraying.

Just ordered some, hope it's not too late. Been using 7 on it, but don't think earworm is listed and haven't had luck with it in the past. Usually don't care that much, but this is the best sweetcorn patch I've ever had. Really been a good year for me over all. Wish I knew how to post pics. My green beans are on our facebook page for the ranch. Man everything just seems to be growing this year. Sounds like the same for alot of yall!
