Anyone have a contact or know where I can get some sweet potatoes around Baldwin County? I know the south end of the county grows plenty but just don’t have a connection with a farmer.

There is a place in Elberta that will sell you a truck load of sweet potatoes for pretty cheap. I can’t remember the name. There is also a place in the orange beach express. Kichler's used to sell them right by the school. Old man and his Wife both passed. Not sure if the farm is still up and running, as I haven't been by there in years. They were good people. He would give me all the free pumpkins I wanted after Thanksgiving.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Daniel Penry 251-490-7179 (Penry Farms) Nick Peturis 251-424-0085 (Peturis Farms) Sirmon Farms 251-621-1532
All in the Daphne/Belforest area
They have been digging for a month. After they have graded them is when they sell culls. Grab your wallet! $80/box last year. About how many come in a box?

Hate high jackers...but I am doing it ...Does anyone know ANYONE with sweet potatoes? I'm in the Columbiana area... When I was in Virginia, they walked over the corn to eat sweet potatoes, haven't tried it since I was here in Alabama. In Louisiana the hogs ate them so I never fed sp's in La.

Sirmon Farms in Baldwin County is indeed $80 for a 1,000lbs box. I buy about 9k lbs a year from them. I never buy them before Christmas though. Any particular reason to wait until after Christmas? Does anyone know of bears eat them?

Does anyone know of bears eat them? Never mind. First article on google search talks about how much bears love them. These bears are giving me fits. I’ve tried soy beans. And they ate em. I put some acorn rage stuff in a trough today to see if they eat it up too.

No, just when our schedules allow and works out to draw new deer in before the rut. Can’t help you with the bears, but I can tell you deer around Evergreen hammer them. We have new bucks show up every year that we have never seen on camera.

Do ya'll see deer beccome more nocturnal with all the sweet potatoes available 24/7? Our club banned them several years ago with this mindset. We only feed through timed feeders now. Deer still go nocturnal once seasson starts.

Deer still go nocturnal once seasson starts. Exact opposite for us, we draw in new bucks every year when we put them out and get numerous daylight pics. However, we only feed them and corn on plots. Nothing in the woods at all
