Some of our best friends Bill and Joyce invited us over for dinner one night and made us a homemade chicken and rice casserole and a homemade strawberry pie for dessert. God it was good...

When I'm not having my banana, chocolate and peanut butter protein shake in the mornings after my workout, I like a breakfast burrito with eggs, cheese and either ham, sausage or bacon, then I take it and fry it in butter in the skillet and serve it with hot sauce. Ummm, Ummm, Good!

Sometimes we have designated Junk Food nights, but Mrs. Irish ruins it by only buying organic, grass fed, all natural, all beef hot dogs. I must admit they are pretty damned good. THe next morning I realized I had gone a little heavy on the Vietnamese chili and garlic sauce...

Sometimes during the week, after I workout, I'll realize I have a few more minutes before my next Teams Meeting and I will whip us up a nice cabin style breakfast... I love me some tater tots.

If I hung around Irish, they would be filming an episode of my 600lb life.

212 pounds this morning at my morning weigh in, and 14% body fat. I'm hanging in there.

I'm going to have to cut out booze and beer during the week if I am going to get lower.

I've cut out everything else but booze, sex and cigars and two of those don't have any calories.

As you probably already know, consistency is the key.

I hope you are weight training. That's the only way to make a permanent change to your body composition.

Our bodies are designed to work hard, and in our modern society, weight lifting is the only way to mimic that. You can't starve yourself and run yourself to a nice physique. You have to pick up heavy things and move them around consistently.

Irish you need to post some pics of your cabin gym. I am finishing a few rooms downstairs and intend on making a small gym

Trying to hit it harder and harder - last week it hurt to walk for 3 days after leg day. I moved from 2 sets to 3 sets on everything

I'm getting to where I hardly ever get sore and a push a lot of stuff to failure or very close to failure. Our bodies are amazing at adapting. This is one of the main reasons why, even though I do a full body workout 4 times a week, each workout is different.

YES!!! Muscle confusion..........No expert here, but I've found that doing some searches on YouTube from reputable trainers has shown me lots of different exercises to do every couple of weeks so I don't get bored and in return my muscles seem to react from them, especially in soreness. lol

I've cut my cardio down to using the rower on leg day and off days if the wife wants to go to the gym. Try running through your exercises for 5 min. with minimum rest, it's harder to do than you realize and you heart and lungs will be running full capacity before you know it.
I'm stuck at 192 lbs at 5'10, but I'm slowly getting my workout weights back to my early 20s.

Sorry, for the long rant, but when you like to eat and cook like I do THIS had to become a priority to eat good food and stay healthy without pills at 58 years old.
