Where do you get pelletized lime for 350 a ton? Pelletized was $4.75/50lb bag last time I checked which was a little over a year ago. That's $237.50/ton. Demopolis Co-op and Thomasville Co-op.

Sides makes a 3 pt hitch spreader that will handle ag lime, but be prepared for sticker shock. Everyone says “but the lime has to be dry” hell that even applies to lime buggies. You’ve not had fun until you dealt with line bridging in a buggy.
Co-op in Frisco City had a small half size lime buggy but it’s been down for repairs for well over 6 months. There’s a market for lime and custom blend fertilizer that can be loaded into buggies that a half ton truck can pull. If lime is $75/ton loaded into a larger buggy I’d gladly pay $100/ton vs paying $350/ton for pelletized lime. I have a Sides Spread All Spreader and it WILL spread wet ag or papermill lime. I’ve spread about 20 tons with it so far. It’s a great all around spreader as it has an auger in it that will mix seed and fertilizer together. It’s was quite an investment when I bought it and have been contemplating starting a little side business spreading lime for hunting clubs.

You should have plenty of customers. Getting it spread can be a challenge.
Would you have a second tractor to load the hopper or ???

Would you have a second tractor to load the hopper or ??? Yes, it would require a second tractor with FEL to load it. Well, I could unhook it, load it, and then re-hook to it and then spread but that would be very time consuming.
