Beautiful red phase bird!

I saw one of those in Cades Cove last Feb and he wouldn't let me get close enough to take a pic, while the others in the flock he was in would let me walk right up to them.

I've been lucky enough to see one in person like that another hunter in camp killed last year. That is a beautiful color phase. Proir to the hunter killing that bird we never knew a different color phase gobbler existed on the property. A true trophy in my book! thumbsup
