Went to look at a tract of timber today and heard a turkey that I had tried to kill a couple of times this season gobbling his head off at about ten o clock.

Went up the road a couple hours later and saw a hen with a dozen or so little ones......They were about the size of a quail and were already trying to fly when they crossed the road. I don't think I've ever seen any that big in May before. People are just now starting to cut hay here, so maybe alot of them have already hatched and there won't be so many nests busted up this spring.

I haven't put my eyes on any yet, but for about the last 2 weeks I have been hearing reports of them in TN.

Always enjoying seeing them. Seems like I always run into turkeys when I visit the land during the off season.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.
