Anyone put any seed in the ground yet? I'm itching to plant but as Uncle Jed Clampett always said "don't plant your corn too early" for success.

I have some 6-8” tall and some about 3”. Gonna plant another patch when it dries up again.

My peaches and cream is about 8-10 inches tall now. Gonna pop it with blood meal before long and watch it grow.

I finally broke down and purchased a Covington planter and got my seed plates in the mail yesterday. I'd like to get corn in the ground this week but mr weather man is calling for 2" rain over the next couple days so maybe next week.

Crows pulled mine up. I've replanted, hopefully will get a stand. I plant 5 rows about 25 feet long. They pulled everyone up and just left it there, haha, I guess the seed are treated and they wouldnt eat it.

I have corn in the garden almost knee high

Planted second batch today. Didn't want it all to come in at the same time

Corn is the one that I've been able to go by soil temp for planting time Our extension service puts soil temp readings online.

Peaches and cream is our favorite, too.

Kill a few of those crows and hang them up next to your garden…..they won’t come back

Ohhhh, my peaches and cream is about three feet tall now!! Hit between the rows with blood meal this past week before the rains. It is jumping by leaps and bounds!!! So excited. If I can keep my blue Heeler out of it, all should be well. I have rag tag deer fencing around it. Works fine and before long, I will remove it. Those dogs bumbling around will just help with pollination.
