My first guess - neighbor feed hard
Did u feed corn during deer season ? If u did - would think u would hav seen gobs - Of course - they may hav just out fed u
I would not hunt over it and it needs to be gone for 10 days before u hunt over it - if u see they not gone show - throw out some corn amd see if they show. Then u know
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

Well you killed 66% of the adult gobbler population last yr. What in the heck does that matter for 90 acres. We still talking bout……90 acres.

Maybe there's been some changes to the landscape around you such as major clear cuts growing up and getting thick

I can never make sense of any of his comments Well if there are only a few turkeys in the area say 3 gobblers for the nearest 1000 acres and he killed 2 of those 3 on his 90 acres and someone else killed the other one there may not be any near him currently. Maybe the jakes took up shop 500 acres away who knows. I just know lots of times when you dont hear, get pics of and or see gobblers its because there are none. I know its just 90 acres.

Small properties seem to go through ups and downs with turkeys. I own 40 and keep up and hunt 80 beside it. I have pines and hardwoods on mine the 80 is big hardwood and 30 yr old natural regrow. I’m surrounded by pasture, big pines, big hardwood and different other timber types. 16 yrs ago we occasionally had birds but they never gobbled. 10 years ago they moved in and would hear 2-4 birds a morning. 5 years ago was the end of that though. Now we may hear 1-2 different birds a year. We normally hold 4-5 long beards a couple of jakes and 10-13 hens in winter. This year we had 4 long beards 6 jakes and 18-20 hens. We’ve heard two birds and that was Wednesday and my son killed one of them. I don’t know how to build a turkey paradise but you can have everything a turkey needs and still not have them.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

An adult gobbler has a spring range that averages around 2500 acres. I'm sure that some range over more and some less, but something around that figure seems normal. And the 2500 acres won't be a rectangle; it could take any shape. What I take away from that is that it's very normal for a gobbler that was on my place a couple of weeks ago to be 5 miles away today. It doesn't mean that anything is wrong; they have just gone somewhere else in their range for a while. If you have good habitat, they will be back.
