Already posted in the classifieds but figured I’d post it here too. GomerJr wants his own turkey gun so I’m trying to find him a small 20ga. Would like to find someone that wants to trade one for a “New in the box” Glock 48. $500ish trade value

I know one of y’all has hopped on the .410 train and has a 20 sitting around collecting dust

Get him a Stevens 301.
You can get the gun, sling and Bushnell red dot for about $300.
Add a box of Federal TSS and he’s in business.

I’ve been looking at those myself, but it was the turkey model with the 22” barrel.
Looks sharp, but I’d like to hear some real world feedback.
What choke/ammo are you using?

My buddy is using the 26” as his primary Turkey gun. He got a sumtoy choke in the mail so will report. He’s shooting apex 9s. That’s all I shoot as federals are garbage compared to handloads and apex.

I love the feel of these guns though. They cycled 7/8oz loads flawlessly from the box and look sharp in the bottomland for pretty cheap.

Sell the Glock and go buy him an 870 youth model. Lots of mods that he can do for that down the road, plenty of load/choke pattern testing done already.

A Winchester SXP would be the next one I’d consider.

I would stay away from cheap semi automatic shotguns. Once you have a problem, you’ll have a problem no one else wants.
