That's pretty cool. Let us know how it is. It's amazing. Compare it to a grocery store tomato, compared to a garden fresh. About the same amount of difference

Night and day difference between home grown and store bought. I wasn't supposed to pick any last year, but I had to try it. My son and I were both out there, so I broke off a stem and tried it. It was so good that I broke off another for my son. He loved it. I had never eaten uncooked Asparagus before. It was amazing. It has a taste similar to green peanuts. The next week I bought some "fresh" at the grocery store. You know the kind. The bundle with a rubber band around it, sitting in the little cup of water to keep it from wilting. When I got home, my son and I decided to try it uncooked. It was horrible. We both spit it into the garbage can.

Cool beans, Fur! I have some three year old crowns coming; can’t wait, especially after reading this!

I got the crowns from Amazon. I decided to plant it, later than I should have last year, so I didn't want to risk losing a ton of money. I bought 2 year old crowns. Mary Washington and Jersey Giant varieties. I prefer the Jersey Giant.

How often does it need cut.....
Every day. The freezing temps we had 2 or 3 weekends ago, can't remember for sure which... killed it all back to the ground. It has put up a bunch since then, and I haven't picked any. I could have, I just haven't had time. It's amazing how fast it grows. Fur is the aldeer "most interesting man in the world"..... Thanks for the title, but you must not have very high standards. If going to bed at 8:30, working 12 hours a day, going to church, being fixated on Purple Martins, fishing for Crappie, and growing Asparagus, is your thing, I'm the guy. LOL
