My cover has broke down (plastic on inside cracked and fell apart). Good co Dr and should have no problems

We have the large one at the farm. When we have left it outside (with cover) unused for a couple weeks it gets a little rusty. Tried oiling it and then dirt and dust got on it requiring us to clean it before we used it. We started oiling it, putting it in a large plastic bag and bringing inside the house (just the top not the whole thing) and it has been good for us.
I love my country, but don't trust my government.

^^^pretty sure Blackstone sells a griddle bag, to do just that. Seems like it was higher than it should’ve been, for what it is, but I guess the gusset stitching and heavy duty material costs more.
experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....
