I took 2 backstraps, sliced in half long ways and marinated them in a spicy terriyaki marinade overnight. I took a package of hot smoked link deer sausage and sliced them in half long ways and sandwiched the sausage between 2 halves of BS. Placed in smoker for 250 for 3.5 hours and all the while had a boston butt smoking and dripping juices on it from above. I hope it tastes as good as it sounds.

Sounds damn good! Have both of those in my freezer. May cook the same thing this weekend if yours comes out good.

I think 2.5 hours would make it less dry, but it was dang good, just dipped meat in BBQ sauce and it was better.
