No sir. $4000 for lease, 10 tons of protein feed, quality food plots, and access to 11 tactacam reveal cell cameras, access to 825 acres of low pressure hunting property with only 4 members. Looking for like minded individuals that are interested in growing big mature deer. Not bucking out on 3 mediocre young deer.

So basically yes. 825 acres typically won't hold more than 4 mature deer that meet there harvest criteria if that. Maybe they have a unique piece of property that holds a lot more. $4k is a lot to kill 3 mature bucks to some people but to each there own. Sounds like they are trying to do it right just comes at a high cost.

I can’t answer that for this club but I can assure you Bow hunting produces way more pressure than rifle hunting.

Low pressure means rules around unessecary intrusion. Parking at gates walking to your stand no scouting during season. No random feed piles. No special trips to check cameras. No does on food plots or within 200 yards of a food plot. No climbing around food plots or within 200 yards of a food plot. No walking around the food plots. No motorized vehicles off the main roads on the property unless it's for work purposes or to retrieve a downed animal. No hunting within 200 yards of protein feeders. That kind of low pressure. But we do have a few food plots that are bow only.

Bow hunters amp up pressure on deer a lot from my 35-year experience as a hunter, including 15+ years as a bow-only guy on a bow-only place with a great deer population.

I'm in total agreement with Bayed and Woodley. Bow hunters IMO are usually somewhat better about scent control but at the same time, by the nature of the game, they have to intentionally get closer to the game. The closer you are to what you are hunting, the more pressure you put on that game, regardless of how careful you are. It's why the best properties have their fields and stands set up so that the stands are 50 to as much as 100 yards off the field edges and you can slip in and out without the deer every knowing you were there. I cannot think of but two or three bow setups that I have had over the years where you could get in and out, completely undetected, every single time. All involved accessing along a shallow but high banked creek and easing up a steep bluff directly into a lock-on or climber. Those spots were very situation and land specific, and money anytime you sat them, but are hard to replicate. You simply have to be close to kill them with a bow and that leads to increased pressure. I'd much rather have a properly set up property with 4 really good, scent/wind conscious, rifle hunters that will shoot, from a distance, a combined 4-6 times a year on a property like yours, rather than 4 bow hunters. An occasional random gunshot will not spook deer, while human scent absolutely will. Your biggest issue with only 825 acres, will be your neighbors and what they are shooting and how and where they are hunting in relation to your property.

I know a couple of the neighbors that join his lease and they do pretty good about letting them grow. They have killed a couple pushing 140’s and one close to 150. I can’t speak for the other neighbors but if he can get a group and stick to the game plan it will end up being a nice place. With the layout of the property you will loose a few to yard lights, roads, and neighbors but that’s the risk of any property that isn’t secluded and surrounded by large landowners. The problem is everyone wants a property that is already set up and doesn’t want to invest the money, time, and effort it takes to get it there.

I’m pulling for you. I hope you can find the right group of guys to make it work.
