If you have a boat, the Corp of Engineers Land on the Tombigbee between Gainesville and Boligee. I painted those property lines and those spoil areas are infested with hogs. Used to wear that place out when I was goin to school at UWA. Lot's of hogs. Surprisingly low deer numbers same here. Always did better with the deer bow hunting it. Find you a block surrounded with thick cutover and the hogs are there. We always did better with the hogs up closer to the dam better with the deer more toward epes

Still sick over it

I spent good bit of time searching. I Can't Find Where It Says YOU Can't OR That It's Illegal.
Hand gun it not mentioned From what I read it has to be what’s legal for the hunt, so for instance you cannot kill turkeys with a handgun so it would be illegal to kill a hog with one

It was until all the AR, pistols came along. Yup, and then the idiots wrote out all legit handgun hunters instead of just saying no AR pistols. I’d be handgunning for hogs in the WMAs otherwise.

Might be a long trip, but Barbour Co. WMA near Clayton Al has hogs. Abercrombie's fish camp (Clayton as well) has several cabins for rent and a restaurant on site. We are about 10 miles SE from there - we are becoming overrun with hogs. That said i have never hunted Brbour WMA for anything, so I do not know the rules or the process. There is a processor nearby in Baker Hill, AL with a USDA license to process hogs.

Another long trip from N AL, but the RedHills WMA has hogs galore. Drove through a couple of the county roads this spring and saw 2 groups crossing the roads in front of me and saw a bunch of fresh tracks in numerous road ditches here and there. Easy to see as all the roads are all dirt.
You gonna pull them pistols, or whistle Dixie?

Shotgun with slug or MZ only though during gun season.

I'd like to get down there with my flintlock and stalk around in some of those drains looking for sounders to smoke up. Just a bit far from me in Elmore Co to warrant the trip wiithout some good intel.
