The population is way down from high water the last few years but coming back slowly. I highly suggest hunting the upper delta. From my experience the lower delta is hell on earth if you try to go much over 50 yards from the bank. I hunted the lower serval years ago. I was amazed how hard it was to go in land. Amazon jungle like.
