While I understand the reasoning, and I don't shoot at hogs coming to my traps, I'm not quite buying onto this with that many hogs on the land.

This is on Public land.

God Bless,

But, but, but… the wildlife biologists said so. I’m not against science, but it’s plain to see that many of these folks have conflicting interests because they get public money. Hunters get in the way of their public grant gravy train so we are vilified even though we pay the bills. Also, we seem to forget many species were hunted to extinction in the past. That could work with hogs today. Just my .002

Saying hunters can't control hogs is bureaucratic nonsense. Unregulated use of feral hogs is how they were controlled. Get government funded by excessive tax out of the way. People will return to controlling hogs.

Canadian Super Pig

It’s everywhere, read the last paragraph of the article. Whatever you do, don’t hunt them. Call the nanny state (which created the problem in the first place) and let a tax payer funded professional handle it. LOL.

Their 48 professional paid hunters must not be very good at their jobs. They are averaging about 10,000 pigs a year in total. That doesnt even make a dent. We've got guys on this forum that are just periodically trapping their own leases and properties they own and killing 60-100 just on their own land with single traps. Give them free rein on properties throughout AL with dozens of govt supplied/paid for traps, and they could probably kill several thousand each on an annual basis.
