You do all of that today? If so, very impressive.

Wow that's a lot of brass. Amazing what people leave behind sometimes.

Best way to describe is watch Primer Pocket Crimp Removal / Reaming And Swaging. On You Tube, And 90% of these had to be done this way,

This would be called primer pocket uniforming.

That's not enlarging the primer hole though.

Lots of milspec 5.56 and 7.62 will have crimped in primers. Swaging or reaming removes this ring in the primer pocket and allows a new primer to be more easily seated. I've got the RCBS press mounted swager and while it works, it is a bit labor intensive. Best tool I've bought for prepping 223/556 was a drill mounted Little Crow trimmer. Saved me a ton of time versus the manual RCBS trimmer.

You don't do that to the primer hole you do that to the pocket hence the reason I wanted clarification enlarging primer holes can cause ignition issues and consistency issues and will ruin brass even though I know some guys that do enlarge them.

There are some people who will use a special deburring tool to clean up the primer hole from the inside but I have never used one.

It's not required on good brass like lapua alpha Peterson ADG ect they are drilled not punched like cheaper brass

Mr Birdcarver folks were concerned you may have boogered up all that brass you worked so hard on. No mean intent.

I got one for a 308 too. Those things are amazing.

I use a RCBS primer pocket reamer on my RCBS trim mate work station. Works great and much easier than swaging.

I use lapua 220R brass to fireform my PPC. Everyone says to leave the flash holes alone, but i noticed that they varried a small bit. I used a 1/16 drill bit, which is .125 and the size of the largest flash hole to make them all uniform
