Thought ya'll might enjoy this. My wife is very into historical re-enacting. She hand sews period correct 18th century (1700s) dresses, etc. Hell she can even put up a wall tent on her own. Anyways, I had some old leather from some nice dress loafers that I've been hanging on to trying to find something to do and I decided to make a little pouch for her sewing stuff. It's nothing special, but I enjoyed making it. I think handmade gifts are very special. Anyways, I'll probably add some sort of closure to it and then figure out how to "church" it up / make it more girly looking. The problem with making stuff like this is I end up wanting to keep it! Figure I'll hide it in her stocking and put some gift cards in it. Need to wrap the other things.
