So I sent my BCA AR10 upper back, and I have a credit now. Which begs the question. What to use it on?

I already have a 5.56, a 223 Wylde, and a 450 BM AR15 upper, and I am comfortable with a BCA AR15 upper. The options I guess I am down to is either 6.5 Grendel, or 350 Legend. Sort of leaning towards the grendel. I'd probably just pick up a PSA lower on sale and be done.

I have to admit I am not a fan of longer barrel guns, and I think the grendel does better with a longer barrel. Thoughts on an 18 versus 20 in? And wether it should be a mid length or rifle length gas system? I have an adjustable gas block I can install if needed.

I was going to run over to Marks at lunch and see what ammo he has in stock.

Primary idea would be to use it for pigs, yotes and deer.

If u only got one lower for the above uppers listed I'd get a lower

It depends on the what ranges you are planning to shoot. 150yds and under I’m going with a 350Legend or 7.62x39. Out to 300yds I’m going with the Grendel. However Grendel ammo is not readily available like the 350 or 7.62x39 and most expensive if cost may be an issue.

I have uppers for everything, except what I would order from BCA and use my credit for.

I have 16” and 22” inch uppers in 6.5G. I never use the 16”. If you go with a Grendel in addition to what you have listed I’d go 20-22. It’s potent over longer ranges than most of your other commercial semi-available options. Why handicap it to save a couple inches?

Don't discount shorter barrel Grendels. I get 2225 fps out of factory 123 SSTs, and 2240 fps out of my 129 ABLR loads, from my 12" Grendel. I wouldn't hesitate to shoot whitetail sized game out to 300 with either of those rounds out of that bbl.

In comparison, the SSTs leave the tube at 2460, and the same ABLR load at 2480, out of my 18" bbl.

I ended up getting a 20 with a billet receiver, that was on sale. Plus 2 mags and with my credit it cost me $9.

20” isn’t a bad choice at all. Are you going to run a can on that?

My 20” stainless barreled Grendel isn’t bad at all. I like my rifles with a little weight to them. Very well balanced.

AA in Monroeville had Grendel ammo earlier this week

Do you recall what the ammo was? I think the last time I was in there he had some Hornady SSTs.

A can is in my future. Have to get upper first, then figure out if I am getting another lower or just swapping uppers.

I found some ammo online, but by the time I pay shippingits cheaper at Mark's. They have the Hornady with 123 grain SST.
