I finally made it to the range to test out some 125 grain Accubonds and NBTs. 3100 fps out of a 20” barrel is gonna be some bad deer medicine.

I’m not a Berger fan. Even punching paper, I prefer SMKs. I’ve got a 165 grain Accubond load for this rifle and confirmed my drops today.

I’ll either take the 308 or my 7-08 on my next elk hunt. They’re both dialed in and ready to go. Just waiting on a tag. 😎

I'm liking the 168 grain Barnes TSX. They seem to work really well so far and they go deep.

Those are supposed to perform at a lower velocity than the 165s. I’ve never used them, but they seem interesting, especially, at 308 type velocities.

I've been tempted to try some of the tac-tx designed for the 300 Blackout in my 308 win. They work really well in the Blackout, perfect x bullets expansion!

LRX is correct.

I've got a box of each 125 AB and BT to load for a 308 but haven't gotten around to it yet.

The lrx does have a lower velocity requirement, but so does the 168grain(308).

The 168 gr 308 TTSX was the original LRX. The LRX design is based on that bullet.

I didn't know that about the 168's. Thanks! That's good to know.

I know you aren't a fan of Bergers but the 155 vld, 43.5 gr of Varget, 20 thousandths off have done me well for years. Works well on shoulders or lung shots.
