My, oh my, Isaac Gallagher may have done gone and built me my favorite rifle that I have owned yet. Gallagher Custom build on a Remington 700 Long Action in .30-06 Springfield caliber. My donor gun started out life as a 1989 Remington 700 ADL .270 Winchester that I purchased from gundoc, that at one time belonged to sj22. I also purchased OEM Remington BDL bottom metal from gundoc that same evening. I tore it down and took the action, trigger assembly, and bottom metal to Isaac Gallagher a few days later. Sold the stock off the ADL to MC21 and the scope to a co-worker, then I tossed the .270 win. barrel in the scrap bin. Next, I purchased a Bell & Carlson "Weatherby Style" Remington 700 stock in black with red spider webbing from B&C and had it shipped directly to Isaac. Isaac then ordered a Bartlein Stainless Steel, straight fluted barrel blank with a 1:10 twist with 5R rifling. Isaac cerakoted my bottom metal in Graphite Black Satin finish and mailed it back to me. I took it to Pete Mitchell, a local Tuscaloosa Locksmith (and Gunsmith) who did a little Laser Engraving on the bottom metal to make this rifle a little personal for me. I have a European Skull Mount business that I have owned and operated for the last 25 years. I had Pete Laser Engrave a Euro Skull on my bottom metal. A nice personal touch that I really like. Then Isaac went to working his craftsmanship. He sent the bolt off to have it Diamond fluted, blueprinted the action, fit and chambered the barrel to .30-06, cut & crowned barrel at 24", slab cut the action, stamped his Logo, added caliber stamp, skeletonized the bolt handle, free floated the barrel, glass bedded the lug area, cleaned and rebuilt the Remington factory trigger, set it at 2.5 lbs., polished the bolt and then did a full cerakote job in Graphite Black Satin on all the metal. After that he mounted my Leupold VX-5HD 3-15 x 44 MM scope with the custom Dial System and the Illuminated Firedot Duplex reticle into a set of Talley Lightweight rings. Shot a 3 shot group with my factory Federal Premium Sierra Gameking BTSP 150 grain ammo that was quite impressive for factory ammo. Isaac was kind enough to take PICS and send to me of the entire build all along the way. I have tons of PICS of all the machining and gunsmith work as he did it. I can't wait to pick up this beauty sometime next week. When I get it home I will add my cheek piece pad and sling. I am truly thankful to be able to own this great rifle crafted by Isaac. Here are a few PICS of the final build.

Gorgeous rifle. Did not know the business was still open after John passed.

That’s beautiful man!! Since I’m not a rifle guru, what part(s) of the original rifle are still on this amazing build? Tigger assembly, bolt,?
