Seriously? I had heard it wasn't as good due to lack of fertile soil being lake is mostly Rick bottom? But wasn't sure. I know the water is very clear

I lived in tuscaloosa for 15 years and fished a lot of tournaments on that lake. I won a 20 boat 3 fish tournament with 3 bass that weighed like 2.80. I've seen a lot of 5 fish 12 inch limits that weighed around 3.5lbs

So check this out a bunch of us local petitioned the city to stock the lake with baitfish and bass fry being totally funded locally not costing taxpayers a dime with hopes that it might help and we were shot down by the state saying it wouldn't help at all and it would be a waste of money.
