Never got around to getting any for the garden this spring when we planted. Would like to add it in for the fall garden. Do I need to get a load and have it set up to compost for a year or it it ready to go?

It needs to be black and smell like bong water. If its like that, itll separate and incorporate into the soil much better. I got a load of fresh this spring. It had alot of cotton in it. I figured it would atleast help the soil retain water so i went on and got it. It was about impossible to get disked in or tilled in. Ive got tomatoes growing in it right now and theyre doing fine but it was heck to work with. If you get the rotten black stuff, its the best. You dont have to incorporate it into the dirt, you can use pure gin trash
