Yeah for both. Pretty solid price comparatively. I would go with you if I were just cerakote but the combo deal plus them being close to the house is hard to beat. Sorry to hijack thread as I’ve been battling the decision for cerakote Vs dip as well.

Are they cerakoting the furniture or doing some other finish?

Getting old school camo there just the metal they are doing the cerakote on.

ANOTHER OPTION

Just to give another option, if you don't mind shipping it. Birdsong T-Coat. Look under the FORMS header for price list.

experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....

So I decided to do both… talked to Rob Roberts guy today after shipping my gun there to have a cerakote done to the stock and barrel. Ended up the stock has a glued custom limb saver like butt stock for shoulder protector and they couldn’t cerakote the stock. I ended up having stock dipped then clear coated and the metal cerakoted in a rustic finish

That's intersting. I've done a number of stocks with glued on recoil pads with no problem. I just tape the pad off - as I'm sure they have to do to dip it as well.

Not trying to be argumentative just don't understand the problem

Birdsong is an excellent coating….just not as hard as Cerakote, but one of the best for internals.

Got mine back last weekend… looks awesome couldn’t have been more pleased.. Hope it lasts but I do wish I’d known about Inverness just to be more local. I ended up with cerakote on all the metal and dipped the stock.. don’t know how to post pics

I wish I knew what separated hack job dippers from legit ones. I had my little 20 gauge 870 turkey gun dipped by Baker Hydrographics about 10 years ago. I don’t think you could get that finish off with a grinder. God only knows how much abuse that gun had had and it still looks fantastic. Every job I have had done by other folks has been sheer garbage.

Had a couple cerakoted by Cottonfield Customs in Cherokee county. Does good work and was priced reasonably.

I’d recommend Rob Roberts they just aren’t local and Mark’s didn’t have a good dealing with them…I’d post a pic but don’t know how…

Lol nothing separates them but once you learn to clean wad and powder fouling from your shotgun to get best pattern for ethical kills and you eat the finish off your gun cleaning it properly with solvents you'll know why dipping sux .
And yes cleaning shotguns makes a big difference in patterns.i found out when I started turkey hunting and realized cleaning shotguns was important almost as a rifled gun if you want your gear to be good as possible

Dipping anything besides butt stock and forearm is for rookies...and have no desire to dip anything I own anywhere.its a old fad.
