No toe nails in any of the tracks. I can't see it being anything other than a big ass cat of some kind. I caught a decent sized bobcat this morning and his track isn't even close to half this size.

I don’t think a dp trap is going to work on whatever made that lol, but pad is rounded like a big dog’s maybe but no claw marks is strange

It’s a dog, a cougar has two humps on the bottom of the track. If there’s just one hump it’s a dog. The track in the picture just has one hump. Must’ve just had a nail trim

I'll take better pictures tomorrow that shows the back pad better. I see what you're saying but I also saw that part in sandy spots

It’s not a cougar at all but it is a large male bobcat….a BAC
I’ve seen tracks like this before on several occasions
I caught one that had pads very close to this size

Hopefully I can catch him. Several tracks up and down a old logging road with several more smaller bobcat tracks. Gotta fix a couple washed out spots before I can get my side by side back to them.

Never personally saw a track that big but I have seen a cat that would probably have that size paw...I wouldn't be surprised if it was 40lbs saw him twice on my road it was big

Good luck Johnv, I personally haven't seen a track that size. A buddy of mine in Tennessee, has a BIG cat he killed outwest, that had big ol' feet! Shocking in person.
