Much like Treelimb - my son is 29 and how I miss those days. Enjoy every moment.

He is completely obsessed with hunting and fishing and we have a ton of memories. Watched him hammer a big long beard yesterday and as the bird was flopping I literally asked God for many more of these moments. Best part was my dad got one too and that’s the 1st time in 10-15 yrs I’ve been with my dad when he killed a bird

Raise them right and they will still show up to hunt or fish with you pretty much every weekend that they can. Only they will be driving in to meet you at the camp, rolling up late on Friday nights in their own trucks, just like you, from wherever they are living and working, or going to college. But I'll say this though, it sure was fun teaching them and watching them when they were just babies. Seeing them learn about the woods, and experiencing things with them for the first time. First deer, first mountable buck, first turkey, first fish, first 10lb bass, their first solo hunts, their first solo kills. I remember them all, like it was yesterday, but the one thing that I would do, if I could do it all again would be to keep a good detailed journal for each child documenting the hunts, their ages, dates, etc. There will be lots of proud moments for you as a dad, as you watch them grow up. Sit back and drink it all in. It goes by faster than you think.
