Ok so Ive been looking ultrasonic, tumbler with cob/walnut, vs stainless pins. I am wanting to go with US or stainless pins. Ive been seeing most folks just use a rock tumbler for the ss media tumbling. What yall use?

I use the pins. They look brand new inside and out when finished.

2nd stainless steel pin tumblers. I've tried them all. The pins are by far the best hands down for cleaning brass inside and out. Get some LemiShine and use accordingly.

Ss pins in a tumbler is definitely the best way to go but does involve a lil more work with draining water sorting pins out.
I bought some lil packs of cleaner from midway like you use in a dishwasher or clothes washer you just drop in your water add the pins and turn it on and let it rip. They work pretty good. I just use treated corn cob media in my regular tumbler if the brass ain't bad dirty

This ^^^. FA was the best deal when I added a rotary tumbler and SS pins to my setup.. Still have the Lyman vibratory, but for deep cleaning I use the SS media.

Unfortunately no.need a rotary tumbler for pins.need to add non ammonia brass polish to your walnut.the walnut cleans it then the corn cob media puts the high shine on if you feel that necessary

Walnut media in a vibrator but I don't like ultra clean brass either but the Frankfort one is a good one

I'm still using the Harbour Freight rock tumbler but made my own PVC tumbler. It will do 150 rifle brass and make it shine like a new penny. Picked up the FA media separator real cheap. I don't see me changing any time soon.

I guess I am old fashioned. Still running an old Cabelas vibratory polisher and corn cob.

I second what someone else mentioned, rinse your cleaned brass in a bucket with water and a squirt of Lemi Shine.

I used the Franklin Arsenal tumbler and SS pins. Instead of Lemishine and Dawn I’m using Brass Juice. Found it from some guy’s YouTube channel and it’s amazing.

I use corn cob and then drop in a used dryer sheet or two.

I use this one (a rock polisher), but painted grey from their collaboration with Stainless Tumbling Media. https://covington-engineering.com/equipment/40-lb-production-tumbler/

Here is the link to the one I have: https://stainlesstumblingmedia.com/shop/reloading-products/tumblers/stm-40-tumbler.html

I can run about 750 6mmBR brass at a time. I no longer use any stainless media, just Dawn and Lemishine. It was too much hassle getting pins (the worst) or chips out of the brass, and since they go directly from the wet tumbler to annealing I did not want to risk screwing up my annealer (AMP Annealer). The cases are still very clean, the primer pockets pretty clean, and inside the case pretty clean. I still dry tumble after sizing to remove lube, but also to put a little dust on the case necks so that I do not have to put graphite on bullets before seating them.

I went this way because I try to do larger runs in separate stages for efficiency. I decap a batch. Wash that batch. Anneal that batch. Size that batch. Dry tumble that batch. Trim that batch. This happens over the course of several days, but I only need a couple hours at a time at most of my time babysitting. It's the most efficient I can make handloading centerfire rifle.

Lemi Shine, which do yall use? Can't find anything local other than the powder dishwasher booster. I see about 3 options on the liquid dish soap. Mainly, which color bottle of dish soap?

One says washes away bacteria, one says gentle on hands and the third says cuts grease. I assume the last one, blue bottle, I think, would be the best one?

And a Thumblers Tumbler with ss pins.

Forget lemi-shine. Buy some Citric acid and be done with it. ONE TABLESPOON will clean 500 rounds of 223 like new. Its really amazing stuff. You can buy a pound of it at Hobby Lobby for $7. Try it, you will never waste money on diluted citric (lemishine) again.
