What sticks you use with it? Also do you use ascenders Prussit? I use an Eastern Woods Outdoors Ultimate One Stick with 40’ of Sterling HTP rappel line and a madrock safeguard belay device.

Coosa got his $&*^ together when he bought his stuff! I also use the One-Stick with 40' (thinking about going to 35') of Mammuth Crag Dynamic 9.5 mm rope. Rappel down with a Petzl Grigri+ and been Saddle Hunting for two years and I will NEVER go back to climbing. And it is not just the fact of switching over to be lightweight... I can climb most any tree I want... with or without limbs. I can maneuver and hide myself on the other side of the tree from approaching deer and lightweight makes walking with gear not a big deal. Really, too many positives to list. But there are a ton of you guys that make fun of Saddle Hunting and that's OK. Stay with your climbers and such... be the last to adopt new technology while the Saddle Hunters are killing it!!!

So I’ve never used a saddle before either. Do y’all have multiple sets of sticks you leave out set up or do you pack the set in and out ?

It took me buying/trying about a dozen different climbing methods and platforms before I finally refined it down to that setup. It's my forever method now unless something crazy revolutionary comes out in the future.

So I’ve never used a saddle before either. Do y’all have multiple sets of sticks you leave out set up or do you pack the set in and out ? Most pack in/pack out. I do have a few trees on private land food plots that I will put the cheap climbing sticks in and leave them for the season just to have a preset tree that I can hop in quick.
