The "Al" in Aldeer is for Alabama. Nice Sitka blacktail, but are you lost?? Not lost, I'm from Alabama. I know what AL stands for do you know what DA stands for? lol Also, It's NOT a Sitka Blacktail, It's a Columbian Blacktail. District Attorney, I think??? You live on Kodiak? Didn't mean anything by what I said. Great Columbian Blacktail! lol. I lived in Kodiak 6 yrs. did 28yrs military and in Oregon for now Bucket list place! Highly recommend it. Enjoyed my stay there and ready to get back. I'm certain you loved it there.

Do you plan to kill him ? The black tail sorry. I'll shoot him in a heart beat if I see him. Our first archery season overlaps archery elk so, it's hard to hunt deer during that time. With that said, I'd poke him. These things are nothing like hunting whitetails. They rarely move in the daylight EXCEPT during the rut and a little bit of archery season in Sept. They are called the "grey ghosts" and I learned why. They also don't pattern like whitetail. This guys mature and it shows in his face. There are bigger but rarely seen
