Homemade kraut is good. We used to make lots of it back in the day

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

Cut half of one into 1/2" thick steaks, sprinkle olive oil on it and add salt and pepper. Bake it in the oven until the outer thin leaves are brown. I'll never eat boiled or steamed cabbage again and I use to love it that way.

That’s impressive.
Are those as expensive as the greenhouse tomatoes?

I grew them outside. Layed the rows off with fertilizer on each side, planted them and plowed a couple times. Thats about it

If you ever eat any homemade, you'll never be able to eat store bought again. There are lids sold where you can ferment in the jar. I have used them and they work well. Get a couple of those and try it on your kitchen counter. It is incredible. The only other thing you'll need is a set of kitchen scales. You want 2% salt (not table salt) per pound of cabbage. 0.32 lbs salt per pound of cabbage
