TDog93 OP Booner Joined: Jun 2020 Posts: 10,976 Earth	I had asked opinions starting w Browning 308 and asked other brands - thanks for all the help - here is what I got: Bergara ridge wilderness B14 - 20 inch barrel w karakote - topped w Leupold Vx6Hd 3x18x50 side focus w firdot reticle - got it at Village Pawn - he knocked 100 off scope and knock some off gun - he always deals bettr than anybody I found across the south (Shane) Thanks again for help - really like the feel and look of the rifle and the trigger feels very good - trigger May not need work The 270 w dream trigger and Zeiss conquest is my go to but think this could get lot of use My Tika 2506 w victory scope may be on back burner Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

roadkill 14 point R Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 7,249 just south of the Tennesse riv...	Congrats - .308 is a great do it all round. Its easy to reload and adaptable to all kinds of powder and bullets. I've loaded it from a 90g up to a 220g bullet. The best was the 168g Game King or Match King.

I like the bolts action and really like the big knob on the bolt and the trigger is pretty good - I May try to get it down to 2# - I am guessing it 2.5 - not quit as sensitive as my 270 - but great for out of the box I will try to see what it will do on a group of 3 and get back to u w a pic sometime in next 2-3 weeks Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

Hammertime7v2 8 point H Joined: Nov 2020 Posts: 1,339 North Alabama	I bought this Bergara Premier Approach a few months ago, and I dedicated a Saturday morning to the barrel break in procedure in the Bergara manual. I know some folks don't believe in it, but I figured it couldn't hurt. By the end of it I wasn't pulling any copper out on my patches and the groups were tightening up more and more. I shot one group after the "official" break in process was finished and it was just better than an inch. I've shot two deer with it this year, including a buck today. It will definitely tighten up as you put more rounds through it. I've been really happy with mine, and you actually have a better scope on yours than I do on mine. The one thing I learned after some skinned up knuckles...it's easier to feed the BDL rifles upside down vs through the top. Professional Smart Alec
