What's the hunting like in perry between Marion and Centreville?

i still have bachelor's together and bucks feeding with does at feeders...still a few weeks out along hwy 183.

I've found some land to lease up there. I live several hrs from it so I was curious if the hunting would be worth making the drive a couple times a yr.

Terrible where I hunted for 2 Years. Saw 3 deer in 2 Seasons.

Location means everything right I have 200 acres that has probably 20-30 deer using it regularly I also have 463 acres we just got this year 2 miles down the rd we may have 15 using it off and on.

On Google earth it's around the Bethlehem 1 cemetery

It must be the 797 acres I saw a few weeks ago. Buy the map it looks good got access to a few land locked national forest tracts

You know much about that area

My lease partner lives just south of it I’ll see what he says.

It’s very spotty I have hunted a place for 20+ years and we have killed one solid 130+ in that span 1 mile away on the river my boss has property that they killed a 160 on and see huge numbers of deer on. They kill 120-130 deer every year.

I agree it can be very spotty. Have hunted some very good property and some that friggin sucked too. Along the river seems to be the best.

I haven't had a pic of a buck since 11/24. Before that I had the same 6 on camera pretty regular. I recon the neighbors ground checked them.

If its on the Cahaba side of Hwy 5 its good. Otherwise its very hit and miss red clay dirt
