Good job! How much time between shot and jumping the deer with the dog first time?
If you want to always win, never play anyone better than you!

Going to start a spin-off of CNC because I enjoy telling these stories and maybe it can help someone out!
We got our first call of the season tonight from a neighbor up the road. He had shot a buck slightly quartering away and did not get a pass through. Deer carried the arrow about 30 yards but dropped it in a creek so we couldn’t tell anything from the arrow. They tracked about 300 yards before losing blood and calling me. We show up and the only way in to last blood is to follow the blood trail so we took off. We got to where they lost blood and Shiloh took it about another 150 yards and came back and checked in with us then took off again. When she did this I went to where she was going snd started picking up blood. Another few hundred yards and she’s about 70 yards in front of us and I hear her bark just a few times so I knew she found the deer and it was still alive. Before we get to it it jumps and runs another 200 yards before she can stop it. Again it breaks when we get close and went about 60 yards and somehow managed to get its back leg hung in a root sticking up and it couldn’t get out so we was able to slide in and get Shiloh and safely take care of the buck. The shot ended up getting guts liver and possibly a lung depending on how hard it was quartered. Great first track with a little excitement but we all made it out without any injuries. Oh lord. I'm not sure my heart could take all this !
