Went back to our friends nice farm today where we hunted on opening day. Started early after a little show because the doves were going crazy. They were flying higher but lots of birds. Several people shot over 5 boxes to get their birds Rain held off but wind really picked up and made for a fun afternoon with some good people.

Congrats! Birds must have flown well today. Second good hunt I’ve heard of.

About 4:30 I sure was wishing I was in a dove field.

We had a good shoot yesterday as well, they flew pretty good in the drizzling rain. I shot 4 boxes couldnt keep the gun loaded

It has been a good season for me. I've shot with a relative in south AL the last 3 weekends. I didn't get but 11 the first week, but have managed a limit the past 2 trips. We had way more birds this past weekend than the first 2. Lots of big migratory birds moved in with the cooler weather. I don't remember ever getting a bunch of migratory birds this early in the year before, but I hope they hang around.

Got down in the high 30s here Wednesday and Thursday. I had a feeling it push some dove down that way
