Has anyone hunted Autauga and have any idea of the population or size of deer on the place. I got in a lease that's within a Couple Miles of it.. I hardly hear of anyone hunting the Wma.

It gets hunted. I went out there a handful of times. Always somebody parked out there at the gates. I’ve heard some big deer have been killed out there.

There are some good deer in that area

Here is one that I killed off it many, many, many moons ago. I went to the check station and told them I had a big buck down. They asked how big and I said bigger than the buck you have in the pen over there. They went with me, opened the gate and drove in and loaded it up.

That’s a good deer. Any chance you can come back on this post and say the WMA is not as good as it used to be or that it’s not worth hunting anymore? That way it won be as crowded come deer season
