Trying to find a local retailer to send out a tech to setup new equipment at our camp and haven’t been able find one that knows much. For any of you guys in that area that have Dish, who did you use?

Sorry my post was not clear. We have equipment but not having great luck finding a retailer to send somebody out to do the install. Maybe should have dropped this the general forum.

Thanks

If your plan is making this a "piggyback" off your regular service...ie, add this receiver to your home service for an extra $7/month...you're probably gonna have to do it yourself.

They're going to want to set you up with new service at regular prices if they have to send someone out to install your "camp" service.

It's really not hard to do yourself with a compass and a bullet level.

Have you tried Google?

A signal strength meter that goes inline near the dish makes it a lot easier.

I usually flag down a dish truck and offer them a hundred bucks cash. That usually gets the job done. A Dish HD receiver is not easy to aim. It takes a meter most of the time.

This is what we’ve done in the past. Usually find a retailer that sends a tech out to hang everything and run cable for $150.
