Thanks, there was a lot of ingenuity that went into building that camper. It was rare to see any sort of camper in our area in those days, and I don't think my dad had ever seen one made from a truck body before. He just somehow conceived the idea and drew it out, then built it. And a 65 Impala with a 283 in it was not exactly the ideal tow vehicle, but it worked. He had a 51 Chevy pickup that he would use to pull it on short trips, but it would probably not have held together for a trip to FL. It would jump out of high gear often, so you had to drive with one hand on the gear shifter to hold it down.

Necessity is for sure the mother of invention.
