If you are using white powder pellets you can wait and clean every four or five shots. If using black power or black pellets every three shots is good. 10-4 I actually use the 777 pellets and plan to change over to the 250 grain powerbelt aerolites is why I'm having to sight it in all over again.

Last year I would shoot couple times sighting in then clean
It’s time to sight in again - mine was dead on last year - shot only my second buck in 20 years w muzzleloader last year and I hav killed few does w it over the years - I got a bullet question I will start another thread on

Powerbelts or sabots will leave plastic residue in the barrel so if you intend to hunt with a clean barrel, swabbing between shots is advised. I use full bore bullets with BH209 and swab every 4th shot. My cold barrel, primer fouled initial shot is always about an inch high and an inch right of warm fouled barrel shots at 150 yards.
