My neurologist says she is seeing some severe neuropothy as a result of taking the vaccines in otherwise fit and healthy people. Any comment on that? I personally am not aware of nor have I seen anyone come through our ER with a serious complication related to receiving the vaccine. I’ve seen patients with Covid develop symptoms of a mild peripheral neuropathy.

WillyB - just had an 8 yo -4wks s/p mild Covid infection present to the ER with gastroenteritis symptoms and persistent fever. ER doc luckily looked further and the girl is currently in the ICU with MIS-C. She looks to be improving with IVIG and dexamethasone. Have you guys seen MIS-C or MIS-A ? Also, I too just started Rx'ing Ivermectin on a limited basis and thus far I'm not convinced it changes anything as two of my limited pts have ended up in the hospital on Bi-pap despite early intervention. BE careful recommending the vaccine on here or you will be labeled as an elitist, pinkie, commie. We are all just part of the problem and all a part of some grand conspiracy scheme to accomplish something - just not clear what the end game supposedly is for this scheme. We really have not been seeing sick school age children with Covid or secondary to Covid. Our transfer rates to children’s hospital have not changed because of Covid.

Willyb, Thanks for coming here and answering people’s sincere questions with honest answers. I personally will not take the vaccine, but it’s every Americans right to choose. I believe rational people should make intelligent decisions based on the facts at hand. I appreciate you providing that for folks. God bless you and your family.

Patients on vents or in ICU, what percentage are obese or have other illnesses or issues that contribute to them being on vents or in icu regardless of vaccination status?

Thank you for your response and for your openness to help us all.

Patients on vents or in ICU, what percentage are obese or have other illnesses or issues that contribute to them being on vents or in icu regardless of vaccination status? I believe our medical icu’s are full of ventilated Covid patients. There are Covid patients on bipap in other icu’s. The specific make up , age, co morbidties, etc of those patients I’m not sure of. I can speculate but I don’t know for sure.

Thank you for doing this Willy. I'm not sure if you realized the level of resistance you would find here on Aldeer. Hopefully, hearing from a Bonafide doc will help to clear the misconceptions that some have about this disease and the fixes for it. Some people have their heels dug in so deep I think their pride in admitting they may have been wrong is holding them back on doing what is best for them and their family.
My question is this, I see many people wearing plastic face shields in lieu of a mask. I can see how that would help stop them from spreading the virus if they sneezed, but I don't see any benefit otherwise? Am I wrong?
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

if it was already burdening the system, why would the medical industry purge their staff for vax refusal?
how are you able to determine the vax effectiveness?
Assuming it does help and since you can still contract the virus, how long is the vax effective for?
Why do you think there is a concerted effort to require and mandate vaccines across the board?
on a lighter note, what do you recommend as far as boosting an immune system? Thanks OP for participating and thanks for everyone keeping it chill in this thread.

Can you describe how the last year and a half have been as a physician? Has there ever been a time where you were most frustrated or overwhelmed? In your opinion, how do we end the pandemic? The front end of this was unsettling. I didn’t know what exactly we were getting into. For two months I slept away from my wife and children, showered at work after my shift and did not hug or spend time closely with my family in fear of getting someone sick. Overtime I’ve become much more comfortable with Covid and how it does and doesn’t spread. It’s been frustrating at times at work to see our nursing staff numbers dwindle for various reasons, to see our ER and our hospital become congested. This last wave has been especially tough given that every person whom I’ve seen with moderate to severe disease (other than one patient who had received the JJ vaccine) has been unvaccinated. Every single one of them, and I do mean all of them have stated they wished they received the vaccine.Exactly what I hear from every doctor I know.

Doc, is anything this guy is saying true in your opinion?
"For those asking why more doctors aren’t willing to recommend better alternatives to the official protocols that seem to be killing people, the answer lies in an efficient and effective immunity shield for doctors and hospitals.
It’s called the “standard of care,” which is the level and type of care that a reasonably competent professional would have provided in the same community.
In short, if you follow the standard of care, you basically cannot be sued, and if you are sued, it’s likely to be dismissed, and if it’s not dismissed, you’re going to prevail.
So what’s the standard of care?
Right now, if you show up to a doctor and test positive, the standard of care is to evaluate you and see if you need a hospital admission. If not, you’re sent home and told to rest.
You’re not given a list of supplements that have been shown to help. You’re not told that the overwhelmingly vast majority of ICU patients with this are fatally deficient in Vitamins C and D. You’re not told zinc is a highly effective reverse transcriptase inhibitor, but that it needs an ionophore to gain access to the cells.
You’re not told anything but to show back up when you’re nearly dead.
When you show up nearly dead, the hospital gets a bonus for treating you, in addition to exorbitant ICU fees you’re likely going to require.
You’re given courses of drugs that cost thousands of dollars per round, and you’re given oxygen and, perhaps at some point, a vent tube.
That’s the standard of care. Any deviation from that puts the doctor or facility at risk of a lawsuit.
You’re more likely to die that following that standard of care. You’re almost assuredly going to be sicker following that standard of care.
But, hey, they’re all immune from suit when everything goes wrong.
And it’s not just the lawsuits. Medical boards are threatening licenses of doctors and nurses who deviate from this standard of care.
So when you wonder why most of the medical profession—doctors, hospitals, medical schools—all appear to be singing from the same hymnal, that’s why."
